
Katie Brown
Katie Brown (she/her) is a director and producer based in New York, originally hailing from Northern California. She received her BA in Directing from Pace University, having studied in the International Performance Ensemble devising program. Katie is dedicated to stories that engage empathy and hope with the goal of connection. She is passionate about cultivating communities through the performing arts and creating space, particularly for BIPOC individuals and communities who have historically been pushed to the margins.

​​​Katie recently directed and sound-designed THE THIRD TRACK, an original devised play performed at The Tank in July 2025 after a 7-month developmental process with an ensemble of all BIPOC women. Katie was also part of the 24-25 Producing Cohort at PlayGround NY, focused on new play development and festival work. She is currently part of the 2026 Moxie Incubator as a producer at Moxie Arts. Katie is a co-founder/producer of Common Sister, a creative production company that exists to make room for untold stories and underrepresented artists.

She currently serves as the Operations Coordinator at P3 Productions, an award-winning producing company that recently produced shows like MEXODUS, CALL ME IZZY, HOW TO DANCE IN OHIO, and the upcoming broadway bound WANTED. Katie also serves as an Assistant Company Manager at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and an Events Coordinator for Broadway Serves. ​She has previously worked at Manhattan Theatre Club, PlayGround NY, Broadway Green Alliance, Jujamcyn Theaters, and Barrington Stage Company.
